What UL certification means
UL certification is a third-party safety listing covering the electrical components, materials, and assembly of a product. For lighting, it confirms that the product has been tested against published safety standards for its intended use. It is the listing your inspector and AHJ will look for.

Damp and dry location listings
OnyxEon panels carry a UL listing for both damp and dry interior locations across the US and Canada. Damp-rated use covers spaces like powder rooms, bathrooms, kitchen backsplashes and bar backsplashes, alongside feature walls, hallways, staircases, closets and lobbies. Wet location and exterior applications require a different specification.

Why this simplifies projects
A UL-listed assembly removes a category of approval risk on commercial projects and accelerates inspections. It also means the electrical contractor wires to a known, listed assembly rather than building a one-off light box that may need separate field evaluation. For owners and architects, that translates to fewer change orders late in the schedule.
